Prof. Costas Dimitracopoulos is Professor of Logic in the Department of Philosophy and History of Science at NKUA. Dr. Dimitracopoulos has been involved in research projects co-funded by the EU and Greece since 1998 (PENED, HRAKLEITOS, PYTHAGORAS II, THALES) in the thematic areas of Logic and Philosophy of Science, as well as in national R&D projects (TOPEKO). Dr. Dimitracopoulos has published 30 papers in international scientific journals and international conference proceedings and has co-edited 3 international conference proceedings.

Prof. DionysiosAnapolitanos is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy of Mathematical and Physical Sciences – Logic in the Department of Philosophy and History of Science at NKUA. Dr. Anapolitanos has been involved in many research projects co-funded by the EU and Greece since 1995 (PENED, ECHO, SOCIOLD, HRAKLEITOS, PYTHAGORAS II, ESPAS) in the area of Philosophy and History of Science, as well as in numerous national R&D projects (TOPEKO, TOPSA, ERMEION II). Dr. Anapolitanos was an external evaluator in the TMR Networks Panel Concerning Economic and Social Sciences, European Commission, Directorate General XII: Science, Research and Development, Brussels (1994-1995).   Dr. Anapolitanos has published over 70 papers in international scientific journals and international conference proceedings, 10 books and has co-edited 3 international conference proceedings.  

Extensive expertise in Applied Mathematics gained in diverse posts and projects ie:

Weather Forecaster, Consultant for renewal energy power stations (Hydro-Power plants, Photovoltaic, Wind and Wave Power Farms),

Knowledge Management – Business Intelligent Expert, Software and Algorithm Design and Development, Data Mining, Statistical Analysis, Pattern Recognition, Text Mining, Quantitative Analysis and Mathematical Modeling,
